At 8@BT, coming home extends beyond the residence itself. The development’s facilities are conceived as a landscape of experiences—places to swim, unwind, exercise, entertain and spend time with family, all within an environment inspired by the natural character of Bukit Timah.
This connection to nature is fundamental to the development’s design language. The architectural concept draws from the “Flowing Lines of Nature”, taking cues from the contours, mountains, waterfalls, quarries and railway landscape associated with Bukit Timah. These natural geometries are abstracted into the development’s architectural expression, including its distinctive cascading lines.
The same thinking continues at ground level. 8@BT’s landscape concept, described as “The Craft of Nature”, draws inspiration from Bukit Timah’s natural elements, using varied textures and tropical planting to engage the senses and create a sense of tranquillity. The intention is to blend the comfort of home with the atmosphere of a luxury resort.
The result is a collection of resort-style facilities organised into distinct experiences: The Arrival, The Quarry, The Clubhouse, The Rainforest and The Campsite.
The Arrival: Coming Home Through Landscape
The resort experience begins before residents even reach their homes.
At the main entrance from Bukit Timah Link, The Arrival introduces residents and guests to the landscape through The Lobby and The Water Cascade. Rather than treating arrival simply as a functional transition from road to residence, the site plan integrates water and greenery into this first experience.
It establishes the character of 8@BT immediately: architecture, landscaping and water are intended to work together rather than exist as separate elements.

The Quarry: A Poolscape Inspired by Bukit Timah
One of the centrepieces of 8@BT is The Quarry, positioned along the landscaped edge of the development.
The concept takes its cues from the dramatic relationship between rock, vegetation and water associated with the quarry landscapes of Bukit Timah. Organic shapes and materials integrate the facilities with the surrounding landscape, and the design brief describes The Quarry as a carefully curated blend of nature and sophistication.
At its heart is the 25-metre Quarry Pool, accompanied by a Slide Pool, Deck, Showers and Furo Bath. The site plan groups these facilities together to form a continuous waterside leisure zone rather than a conventional standalone swimming pool.
The artist’s impression reinforces this idea. Surrounded by dense tropical planting, the elongated pool reads almost like a body of water carved into the landscape, while timber-toned decks and greenery soften the boundary between the recreational spaces and their natural setting.
For families, the Slide Pool introduces an element of play. For swimmers, the 25-metre Quarry Pool provides space for laps. And for residents seeking a quieter experience, the Furo Bath offers a more contemplative form of relaxation.

Set beside the pool and close to The Clubhouse, the Furo Bath creates a particularly resort-like moment: a place to slow down in the water while remaining visually connected to the surrounding greenery and poolscape.

The Clubhouse: An Extension of Home
Beside The Quarry is The Clubhouse, conceived as a social and wellness destination within the landscape.
Its facilities comprise The Living Room, The Meeting Room and The Fitness Room, with the Fitness Room located on the first storey.
The Living Room is especially evocative of the development’s residential philosophy. Rather than feeling like a conventional function room, the artist’s impression presents it as an elegant extension of home, with a long dining table, lounge seating and a kitchen area framed by expansive glazing and views towards greenery.
It creates possibilities for celebrations, dinners and gatherings without residents having to leave the development.
The Meeting Room adds a more practical communal space, while the Fitness Room supports everyday wellness. Together, these facilities allow the clubhouse to move easily between socialising, entertaining, working and exercising.
The design inspiration shown in the development brief also explores how architecture interacts with trees, greenery, and natural light—reinforcing the idea that indoor communal spaces should remain visually connected to the landscape outside.

The Rainforest: Bringing the Forest Walk Home
Beyond the pool and clubhouse, the landscape becomes greener and more contemplative in The Rainforest.
Its inspiration comes directly from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, described in the design brief as an oasis of primary rainforest characterised by greenery and meandering trails.
Within 8@BT, this idea is translated into three facilities: The Fitness Pool, The Sunbathing Lawn and The Sensory Trail.
The Fitness Pool provides another water-based wellness option, while the Sunbathing Lawn creates an open green space for relaxation. Connecting the landscape is the Sensory Trail, where the broader design concept of engaging the senses through tropical planting, textures and nature-inspired landscaping comes into its own.
Instead of concentrating every facility around a single recreational deck, the site plan allows residents to move through different landscape conditions—from water to lawn, from poolside spaces to planted trails.
That progression helps give the grounds the character of a resort garden rather than simply a collection of amenities.
The Campsite: A Backyard for Family Adventures
At the other end of the development is one of 8@BT’s most distinctive concepts: The Campsite.
Inspired by outdoor activities associated with Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, the design team describes the idea as having “a camping ground in your own backyard” for family bonding.
The zone incorporates The Playground, The BBQ Pavilion and The Camping Ground.
The artist’s impression shows these spaces nestled amid substantial greenery, with play equipment, open lawn-like areas and tent-inspired shelters arranged around winding timber-toned paths.
It is an imaginative interpretation of a condominium family zone. Children have room for outdoor play, families can gather around the BBQ Pavilion, and the Camping Ground offers the chance to enjoy a camping-inspired experience without travelling far from home.
Here, landscaping becomes part of the activity itself.

A Landscape Designed as One Continuous Experience
What distinguishes the facilities at 8@BT is not simply the number of amenities, but how they are arranged.
The site plan shows the facilities wrapping around and between the two residential blocks, with different zones responding to different parts of the site. The Quarry and Clubhouse create a concentrated water-and-wellness destination; The Rainforest extends greenery and recreational spaces through the centre and perimeter; and The Campsite forms a family-oriented garden destination at the opposite end.
The landscape brief emphasises organic shapes and materials to blend the facilities with the surrounding natural landscape and create a cohesive aesthetic.
That philosophy is consistent with the architecture itself. 8@BT’s identity is derived from dynamic forms and the architecture’s cascading fins, which symbolise natural contours—another expression of the development’s attempt to translate Bukit Timah’s landscape into built form.
Resort Living with a Bukit Timah Identity
8@BT could have approached its facilities as a checklist: swimming pool, gym, function room and playground.
Instead, these familiar amenities have been given a distinct sense of place.
A swimming pool becomes The Quarry. Landscaped paths become The Rainforest. A family recreation area becomes The Campsite. Even arriving home becomes its own landscape experience.
Together with the Furo Bath, 25-metre Quarry Pool, Fitness Pool, clubhouse spaces, sensory landscaping, lawns, playground and family facilities, these environments create different ways to spend a day without leaving home.
Morning might begin with laps in the Fitness Pool or a workout in the Fitness Room. An afternoon could be spent beside the Quarry Pool or exploring the Sensory Trail. Dinner could move to the BBQ Pavilion or The Living Room, while weekends offer children space to play and families a chance to gather at The Campsite.
This combination of architecture, water, greenery, and recreation gives 8@BT its resort character.
More importantly, the concept feels rooted in its location. Drawing inspiration from Bukit Timah’s contours, quarry, rainforest and outdoor heritage, 8@BT seeks to bring an interpretation of the landscape beyond its boundaries and into everyday residential life.
At 8@BT, nature is not simply the view beyond home—it becomes part of the way home is experienced.
