SINGAPORE – About 3,300 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats with shorter waits of less than three years will be offered in the upcoming October sales exercise across four projects in Bedok, Sengkang and Yishun.
These flats make up more than a third of the 9,100 units that will be launched, and comprise two-room flexi flats to three-generation units, as well as assisted living flats for seniors, the Housing Board said on Oct 12.
It did not reveal the launch date.
HDB said the four projects bring the total number of shorter waiting time flats launched in 2025 to 4,690 units, exceeding its commitment to launch 4,500 such flats this year.
It will launch 4,000 flats with shorter waits each year in 2026 and 2027, as part of its efforts to reduce wait times.
In the October sales exercise, two projects in Yishun will offer a combined 1,395 units with a wait of two years and seven months.
Located within the upcoming Chencharu housing estate, the 826-unit Chencharu Grove project along Bah Soon Pah Road and Chencharu Link will offer two-room flexi to five-room flats across six blocks.

The project will incorporate greenery throughout the development as a nod to the area’s heritage as former agricultural land, HDB said. It will also have fitness corners, playgrounds, a communal garden and a pre-school.
Nearby amenities include the Khatib Central neighbourhood centre, Northpoint City and Yishun Park Hawker Centre. Plans are also under way for a mixed-use integrated development in the estate, which will have a hawker centre, shops and a bus interchange.
Chencharu Grove will also have 418 units of Single Room Shared Facilities. The scheme offers low-income tenants, who are single, their own rooms while providing a communal living environment through the sharing of common facilities.
HDB said that when the project is completed, it will replace the pilot site at the former Anderson Junior College hostel in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.
The second project, Yishun Glade, is bounded by Yishun Street 31 and Yishun Ring Road. It will have 569 units of two-room flexi and four-room flats across four blocks.
The development will also have rooftop gardens and a therapeutic garden, as well as a senior care centre. Nearby amenities include Junction 9, Yishun Mall and the Khatib Bongsu Park Connector that links to Yishun Pond Park.

In Sengkang, the Fernvale Plains project bounded by Fernvale Street and Fernvale Link will have a wait of two years and eight months.
The development will house 830 two-room flexi, four- and five-room flats, as well as a block of public rental units, near Kupang LRT station.
It will also have 207 community care apartments, which come with senior-friendly fittings such as wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, as well as health and community services that are meant to help seniors live independently.
HDB said the project will have a rooftop garden, playgrounds, fitness stations and a hardcourt for recreational facilities.
Fernvale Plains

The Bedok BTO project, Ping Yi Court, comes with a wait of two years and nine months. It is located in Chai Chee Street and comprises 862 units ranging from two-room flexi to three-generation flats across five blocks.
The development will be designed like a courtyard, with blocks arranged around the site’s perimeter to create communal spaces where residents can bond, HDB said.
Amenities such as Kaki Bukit 511 Market and Food Centre, Bedok Mall and Heartbeat@Bedok are located near the project. Kembangan and Bedok MRT stations are about 1.5km away.

In the upcoming sales exercise, HDB will offer six other BTO projects in Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Bukit Merah, Jurong East and Toa Payoh.
